An architectural gem meticulously restored and appointed with 21st century finishes. Set in a landmark neighborhood rich with history and culture, it’s vintage Village living with a modern twist.

When Lela Goren happened upon the West Village Building, she knew she had found something special. It would become a sanctuary for Lela Goren, her children, and an ever growing community of residents and guests including global leaders in thought, politics and activism.

The Story of
The West Village Building

When she found it the pre-war building was as close to a blank slate as one could hope for in the West Village. Working with master designer, Ghiora Aharoni, the building has been transformed into a seamless interplay of art, activism, and commerce.

The building was built in 1920 and for decades was occupied mostly small offices of doctors and dentists. Now, it combines crisp contemporary luxury with a vintage village feeling creating a 21st Century treasure. Ghiora Aharoni mastered the delicate balance of modern style while respecting the historic bones of the apartment, honoring its age and legacy.

31 West 11th St. exudes a timeless elegance. Meticulous attention to detail can be seen in the wonderfully designed interiors as well as the beautiful facade restoration. Lela’s rooftop penthouse is one of the most extraordinary in the city with sweeping views of lower Manhattan set within a lush urban garden. The rooftop space has played host to events and fundraisers for politicians, artists, and world leaders.

The building is ethereal and earthy, a mixture of humble and haute materials.

We find and reveal overlooked potential. We envision new chapters for buildings full of stories and rich with history. We work alongside communities to harness new resources and encourage revitalization. We fuse the public and private, the old and the new, rural and urban, art and economics.
