When she found it the pre-war building was as close to a blank slate as one could hope for in the West Village. Working with master designer, Ghiora Aharoni, the building has been transformed into a seamless interplay of art, activism, and commerce.
The building was built in 1920 and for decades was occupied mostly small offices of doctors and dentists. Now, it combines crisp contemporary luxury with a vintage village feeling creating a 21st Century treasure. Ghiora Aharoni mastered the delicate balance of modern style while respecting the historic bones of the apartment, honoring its age and legacy.
31 West 11th St. exudes a timeless elegance. Meticulous attention to detail can be seen in the wonderfully designed interiors as well as the beautiful facade restoration. Lela’s rooftop penthouse is one of the most extraordinary in the city with sweeping views of lower Manhattan set within a lush urban garden. The rooftop space has played host to events and fundraisers for politicians, artists, and world leaders.
